The development of the Jersey and Guernsey Law Review superseded the Guernsey Law Journal which was last published in 2002.
The Jersey and Guernsey Law Review has, itself, evolved from the Jersey Law Review. For some years, the Jersey Law Review sought to include articles and legal information from and about Guernsey on the basis that each Bailiwick had things to learn from the other.
The launch of the Jersey and Guernsey Law Review in 2007 reflected a desire to promote the development of the laws of Jersey and Guernsey and encourage interest in them. It contains articles on a wide variety of subjects that will be if interest beyond the Channel Islands, not only to judges and lawyers of other small jurisdictions, but also to students of comparative law.
The re-branded Jersey and Guernsey Law Review provides an opportunity for discussion of the history of Bailiwick laws, their development in the field of theory and their practical application.
